Certified organic products conform to the regulations established by the European Union for organic farming, on how they must be produced, processed, transported and stored. The logo can only be used on products when they contain at least 95% of organic ingredients and additionally respect further strict conditions for the remaining 5%. Certified compostable | Compostable means that a product is capable of disintegrating into natural elements in a compost environment, leaving no toxicity in the soil. * Please note that there are various recognised third party schemes available to certify product as Biodegradable. Certified biodegradable | Biodegradable products are capable of decomposing naturally by bacteria or other living organisms, such as fungi or bacteria. These help to break them down into compounds that are found in nature. * Please note that there are various recognised third party schemes available to certify product as Compostable. We currently include OK Biodegradable Water and OK Biodegradable Soil in our verification process. |
