A dual-band repeater can either extend an existing connection, or act as an access point for an additional WiFi signal. Each powerline adapter kit contains two TP-Link powerline networking plugs. Simply connect one to power next to your router and use an ethernet cable to directly link it to your router. The second powerline plug should be placed in the room or area that you want to extend your Wi-Fi.
