Even if a considerable portion of our operations are digitalized these days, we still use a great deal of paper on a daily basis. Therefore, it is extremely important to select the right size and finish for the paper for our workplaces to ensure that we receive the best results. Most frequently used paper size in workplaces is the A4 sized paper, as it is optimal for printers and copiers. Larger sizes such as A3 or A2 can also be used in the workplace, for instance as posters or displaying diagrams or large tables. On the other hand, smaller sizes such as A5 or A6 are frequently used in flyers, cards or leaflets.

Regardless of their size, paper types might also come in different finishes, such as smooth, glossy or matt. The finish of a paper is an important feature as it allows you to modify the look of your project. While you might want to go for a matt finish for a business report, for example, you might choose a glossy finish for a wedding invitation. Another important aspect that goes into the look of your project is the weight, or the thickness, of the paper. While regular printing papers are usually around 80 gsm, business cards tend to be thicker, around 200 gsm. Overall, different finish and weight options make paper products highly versatile for any sort of occasion.
